Possibility of having Actually Additions added?
-
Hi there, everyone. I'm fairly new to this community, so I'm not sure how everything quite works yet.
I know some servers are alright with mods adding suggestions as well, so I figured I'd have a jab at it.
"Actually Additions is a utility and technology mod created by Ellpeck. It works with Minecraft versions 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9.4 and 1.10.2. The most stable versions are for MC 1.7.10 and 1.10.2.
Actually Additions mod adds a lot of machines, instruments, food and other utilities. Like many other "industial" mods, Actually Additions mostly uses RF energy to power its machines, but this mod also has its own generators and even machines that works without energy. Actually Additions mod doesn't add standard wires or tubes to control item logistics and energy flow - instead, Actually Additions has special blocks, like ESD or Phantomface. Capacitors in this mod work similar to ones in GregTech rather than Thermal Expansion. Blocks like Energizer, Enervator and 5 types of batteries are here to store RF and fill instruments with it.Mod Parts:
Main part or Machine aspect adds a new ore - Black Quartz Ore - which is used in some recipes. It can be mined with other ores manually by using a Drill or automatically with a Vertical Digger. Actually Additions mod has its own Ore-Doubler and a Double Furnace.
Farming aspect of the mod allows players to increase speed of the farm with a Greenhouse Glass, to feed the mobs automatically using an Automatic Feeder, to control blocks with Auto-Breaker/Auto-Placer, to control fluids with Fluid Placer/Fluid Collector, to grow new plants, such as Coffee or Flax and to craft Fertilizer using any food.
Food aspect of the mod adds various nourishment - from normal Bacon to strange Resonant Rice. 7 types of Jam can give players useful buffs. In case a player wants to make custom "potions" - the mod adds a Coffee Machine to make it possible.
Instrument aspect of the mod adds new armor and tools - Obsidian and Emeralds can be used to craft instruments. With Crystals added by the mod it is possible to make better tools from vanilla Iron Ingots and Diamonds and use Redstone, Lapis Lazuli and simple Coal to craft required things. AIOT is a very useful multi-tool (which combines all vanilla instruments into one), also added by this mod."
Quote is from the FTB Wiki page for Actually Additions. Read here.
I know a ton of people really like this mod. Those who have played the HermitPack, or previous 1.10 packs know that Actually Additions adds a lot of really fun things, like the ability to make energy using Canola oil. Like the article said, a lot of its power works similarly to GregTech, a mod some people love. However, it still uses RF.
Like I stated above, I'm not sure if Staff even considers adding mods to the server due to some potential complications involving doing so. I've ran my fair share of servers, and have experienced first hand the kind of difficulties Staff has to deal with during the first few days of people adding the mod. However, I thought since there's been a lot of Reddit and Forum posts about adding this mod, I'd make a post on it to possibly get Staff's consideration to add this mod.
Thanks for taking the time to read my little post here. Comment below if you like/dislike the mod, and if you'd like to see it added (If at all possible.)

We aren't adding any mods to 3rd party packs, due to the installation complications it adds for players.
Sorry, but thanks for the suggestion! As a side note, we did this in the past and gave up on it.

Thought I'd give it a try. Good to know, though. Adds a lot of hassle indeed.

You made a GREAT case for Actually Additions. I love that you took the time to write this up. I definitely would like to consider packs with this mod in the future. Also, I'd like to hire you for a sales job.

Thank you very much! I really do appreciate the kind words. The modpack "All The Mods" includes Actually Additions, among many other really fun mods that 1.10 adds. I saw that you and the rest of the Staff were considering making a HermitPack server in my last post. If you were still looking for packs to use, I'd recommend checking out "All The Mods"
I've heard good things, but I'm not too sure how well it works server-wise.
