I'm not very imaginative when it comes to things likes these, so I'll focus my application on the example questions instead of coming up with my own categories.

I started playing Minecraft in 2012 on the X360. Because of the limited world size and slow update cycle relative to the PC version though, I made the switch to Java pretty soon after. It was around that time that the Yogscast started producing their classic Tekkit series and I had fun playing alongside them. I've played and enjoyed a lot modpacks since then too. I mainly play kitchen-sink packs because I can focus on the mods I enjoy. I don't really like being forced to make progress in a magic mod, for example, in order to progress in an otherwise unrelated tech mod, and I certainly don't enjoy anything extremely tedious and time-consuming like GregTech. With that said, I have completed a few expert packs, although it's certainly much harder for me to have continued interest when I'm often thinking "how many more hundreds of hours do I need to keep playing for that 100%".

My favourite mod is probably Mekanism if only for its ease of use and synergy with the other tech mods. Universal cables work well with lots of different power systems, and I like the ore-processing in Mekanism too. Maybe I like it because it's just so "cheaty". Another tech mod adds ore doubling? That's child's play - how about ore quintupling! The tools and power generation are also quite powerful and relatively easy to set up as well. I've never really experimented with magic mods, since I usually go fully down the technology route, but I'm interesting in trying out some new things in E2: Light. I haven't played any 1.12 packs so I'm curious to see how the newer versions of mods compare to what I'm used to, and I'm excited to try out some new mods that weren't available in 1.7.10 like Advanced Rocketry. I've dabbled in the older versions of Thaumcraft although I hear that's changed quite a bit, and I know that T-Construct has had some changes too. It'll be like learning the basics all over again.

I don't really have many hobbies anymore. I used to play World of Warcraft a few years ago but the latest expansion is definitely disappointing and it didn't keep me interested for long. I read a lot of web novels, if that can be considered a hobby. Even though the writing and translation is usually sub-par, a lot of them have thousands of chapters so they can at least kill some time while I wait for college to start up in September. It's nice to read well-written books, but when a web-novel author can pump out a few chapters a day without worrying about quality the amount of content to read grows pretty quickly.

As for how I found the server - a simple Google search. I found Stonebound when I was searching for public servers for this specific pack. It was quite a difficult task and after searching for a while I couldn't find many listings for it - overshadowed by the normal and expert versions of the pack I suppose. Unfortunately the RAM usage for a lot of these modern modpacks is very high. On Windows 10, even a lot of the lighter 1.12 packs are sluggish. Even using a lightweight Linux distro, openJ9 and tweaked foamfix settings it's a challenge, but E2:L seems to be the perfect compromise between content and resource usage.

I've read through your application and I am happy to see another old-school player come and apply to Stonebound! I've added you to our whitelist and you should be able to play on all of our servers.
Thaumcraft has changed a fair bit, so I'd be a little careful when trying to tame the new mechanics
