Hey there !
How are you guys ? Pretty excited to write this application. Like a lot of people here, it seems, I haven't been playing for a while. I'm always having this Minecraft nostalgia episode and feel it's the right time to get back in business ! My in game tag is Sonofkick, I'm a 26 years old guy from France and my lifejob is architect (no joke !).
I can't even remember when I really got into Minecraft. What I can tell you for sure is I quickly started to be driven by the same purposes as JL2579, mastering the hursh world of minecraft with amazing mob farms, and technical builds. I used to play with friends on a server run by the zipcrowd crew and there affiliates (before it was even called zipcrowd). That's pretty much when the modding crazyness got to be real and a few of us went apart, lead by the great Dondius to start a FTB like server (Rednet). It was my greatest MC experience as our little community managed to sustain for 5 years without any advertisement (5-10 people very active for about 30 whitelisted people). I even got to be modded when i was really active on the server. After such a long time the server recently shutted down as a lot of us got distracted by IRL means.
My goal now isn't to play 24/7 but to get to know a new community and start fresh in a new context, then we'll see what happens. I love technical stuff overall and the principle of automation but I think the mods I had the most fun with were Forestry/Magic bees and Botania. I decided to apply to your server because it seems you have a nice community and aren't trying to monetize everything in the game.

I'm so sorry for the delay in replying, the staff has been busy with other things as of late.
We've gone ahead and added you to the whitelist.Plenty of us come from the days of great old Minecraft servers, so I get it!
It's hard to compete, but we do our best to run a nice community like the ones we used to enjoy ourselves.
I hope you enjoy our server and our community, and we look forward to seeing you around.
